SpecFit Golf began with a singular purpose of achieving better scores through knowledge of my own equipment and how that affects my game. The story was always the same: get a new club and feel like it was Excalibur in the fitting bay just to get it on the course and find much different outcomes. It wasn't all bad, but it certainly wasn't as good as I felt in the simulator. Why? What could be happening between the store and the tee box? The answer to that question led me here.
We all have individual swings. They're kind of like our signatures in that way - completely unique. So why do we think that "standard" or any words like that could apply to an entire group of golfers? The truth is, golfers are very uneducated for as much money as we spend on the game we love and that only helps out the retail side of the golf world. They'll sell you "20 extra yards" so fast it will make your head spin. At SpecFit Golf, we're here to help everyone cut through the nonsense and give you real answers to your questions. We believe in "empowering" the golfer with data and insight into their "signature".
Your clubs and your swing work in harmony with each other...at least they're supposed to do that. That's a club fitter's purpose. However, amateur golfers don't get the same level of service and attention to detail as the pros do. SpecFit Golf aims to bridge that gap. You probably don't need new clubs. What you need is someone to analyze your numbers and make adjustments to what you already have so that you can get out there and be confident in your equipment and shoot lower scores. Great! So, how do we do that?
Through the use of Foresight Sports' GC Quad launch monitor, we will get the world's most accurate club data to see what adjustments can be made to tighten dispersion and get consistent distance. Hey, you might even pick up a few yards! And there won't be any question about ball flight because we will be outdoors where you can see exactly what is happening. No more software extrapolation that inaccurately shows a baby draw just to get on the course and start pistol whipping hooks into the neighbor's screened porch - the ball doesn't lie outdoors. Okay, that last one may or may not be from personal experience...moving on! While we gather data, I'll be making on-site adjustments to your loft/lie using a Mitchell Golf Angle Machine so there will be no guessing about the results. We'll address swing weight and look at the lengths of your clubs and see if any alteration needs to be done to improve upon what we see during your session. Any alterations will be done by me at my shop with all the care and attention to detail that you could want. I love this game and I want you to love it even more. And that's why we say "Know Your Numbers".
